Types of case erector and case packer we supply

A full range of end-of-line equipment from F.A.M.S and CHR. Bock & Sohn, configured to suit the product, the format and the speed of the line.

Case erectors

A case erector takes flat cardboard case blanks, opens them, folds the bottom flaps and seals them ready to be filled. It replaces a slow manual step at the start of the case packing line. We supply case erectors from F.A.M.S and CHR. Bock & Sohn.

Case packers

Case packers fill the erected case with product. Our case packers are suitable for wrapping and protecting bottles, jars, cans, plastic containers, cartons, pouches and bags. Available in top, side and bottom load formats, with pick and place options and in robotic, mechanical, standalone and monoblock builds.

Case sealers

Case sealers close the filled case for shipping. We offer case sealers for either glue or tape closure, to match the carton style and the level of security needed.

Monoblock systems

Monoblock systems combine erecting, packing and sealing in one integrated unit. Standalone machines give more flexibility on lines that change formats often.

Case erector and case packing FAQs

I already have a case packer. Do I need a case erector too?

A case erector and a case packer perform two different jobs. The erector forms the empty case from a flat blank. The packer fills it. Many production lines have one without the other, especially where case packing is automated but case forming is still manual. Adding a case erector ahead of an existing case packer removes that manual step and increases throughput on the line.

Should I choose a robotic case packer or a mechanical one?

Robotic case packers are flexible across different products, pack patterns and carton sizes, which makes them better for lines that run multiple SKUs. Mechanical case packers are typically faster on single-format production and have a lower capital cost. We can advise on which configuration suits your throughput, product mix and budget.

Can a case erector and case packer integrate with my existing line?

Yes. The F.A.M.S and CHR. Bock & Sohn case erectors and case packers we supply can be specified to integrate with upstream filling, capping or cartoning equipment and downstream palletisers. Tell us what equipment sits either side and we will match the case packing system to the line.

What case types do your case packers handle?

Our case packers are suitable for wrapping and protecting bottles, jars, cans, plastic containers, cartons, pouches and bags. They are available in top, side and bottom load formats, with pick and place options and in robotic, mechanical, standalone and monoblock builds.

Can one machine erect, fill and seal cases?

Yes. Monoblock systems combine erecting, packing and sealing in a single integrated unit, which suits lines with steady formats and limited floor space. Standalone machines give more flexibility on lines that change formats often.
