Engelmann & Buckham (E&B) proudly launched their new UC22 Ink Jet Case Coder at the PPMA Show 2024 as part of the Innovations Eleven showcase. During a live demonstration, Martin French from Norwix and E&B Chairman, Iain Buckham, highlighted the growing need for advanced case coding technology. The UC22, by IntegraJET, offers packaging companies a cost-effective alternative to traditional labelling, enabling high-quality direct printing of barcodes, QR codes, expiry dates, batch numbers, and marketing information directly onto boxes.

Andrew Spooner, representing E&B, conducted live demonstrations on the company’s stand, showcasing the UC22’s intuitive Vega software, easy ink cartridge replacement, and seamless integration into existing packaging lines.

The UC22 quickly gained traction with visitors, who recognised its potential to streamline operations and reduce costs. E&B secured multiple sales at the event, including orders from a publishing company, a healthcare provider, and a contract packer. Several additional orders are currently in negotiation.

“We are thrilled with the response to the UC22,” said Martin French. “We knew there was a need for more flexible and cost-efficient case coding solutions, but the overwhelming interest at the PPMA Show confirmed just how valuable this technology is. Customers immediately saw the benefits in terms of time and cost savings, as well as enhanced marketing and product information capabilities.”
