Melt Flow Index @on MFI MFR MVR

This compact and microprocessor controlled Melt Index Tester is designed to determine MFR values in g/10 min., MVR values in ccm/10 min as well as the melt density in g/ccm.  The equipment is suitable for tests in accordance with following standards: ASTM D 1238 methods A and B, ISO 1133 and other equivalents.

This genuine modular testing instrument with microprocessor unit is designed for the computation of:

• up to 50 MFR or MVR individual values per test
• Average value, standard deviation
• Shear stress, Shear rate and Viscosity

The programming, controlling, evaluation and documentation of the measured values are made by an attached PC, which the customer should provide, by means of the comfortable and operator-friendly WINDOWS software k-BASE. Further software modules for process control, data export, assignment of access authorizations and for simultaneous control of several instruments by one PC (multi-equipment control) are included.

There are the following standard accessories: linear displacement gauge for the measurement of the MVR values in ccm/10 min. plus piston and nozzle cleaning tools. Optional items include:

• manual cutting device
• Nozzle plugging device (for low viscosity  materials)
